Where it works best

Set step lights into stair risers or a low wall about 12 to 18 in above the tread, on every step or every other step. Along a path or garden wall, space them 6 to 8 ft apart so the pools of light just meet.

Who this is not for

It is a hardwired fixture, so it needs an outdoor-rated junction box; it does not plug in.
