Where it works best
A semi-flush mount hangs a few inches below the ceiling, so light spreads across the ceiling as well as down. It works best on ceilings of 8 to 9 ft; keep at least 7 ft of clearance below it in a walkway. For a room, add its length and width in feet; the total in inches is a good diameter (a 10 x 12 ft room takes about a 22 in fixture).
Who this is not for
It is dry rated, so it is not for a shower area, an uncovered porch or other damp spots. Bulbs are sold separately.
