The Maxim Low Profile flush mount is a transitional fixture sized for a hallway, a bedroom, a closet, a kitchen or a laundry room. It comes at 11.75 in (29.8 cm) wide, with built-in LED, in White.
The LED is built in, so there are no bulbs to buy or replace, and it delivers 656 lumens at 3000K. White glass softens the light and cuts glare at eye level. The White finish fits Transitional schemes.

Where it works best
A flush mount sits tight to the ceiling, so it suits ceilings of 8 ft and lower, where a hanging fixture would cut into headroom. For a room, add its length and width in feet; the total in inches is a good diameter (a 10 x 12 ft bedroom takes about a 22 in fixture). A hallway or closet usually needs 11 to 14 in; in a long hallway, space fixtures about 8 to 10 ft apart.
Who this is not for
It is dry rated, so it is not for a shower area, an uncovered porch or other damp spots.
Why we carry Maxim
Maxim has built residential and hospitality lighting from City of Industry, California, for more than 45 years, and stocks deep enough that most finishes ship within days. That makes it a dependable choice when a project has a deadline.
Care and installation
Dust with a soft, dry cloth; clean glass with a lint-free cloth and glass cleaner, with the power off. A qualified electrician should make the connection. Assembly sheet: 87595 (PDF).

The 11.75 in size suits a room of about 6 x 5 ft, a hallway or a closet.

No. It is dry rated for indoor rooms without moisture.
