The Maxim Dune Clear Ribbed flush mount is a transitional fixture sized for a hallway, a bedroom, a closet, a kitchen or a laundry room. It comes at 9 in (22.9 cm) wide, with 1 light, in Black.
Each socket takes an E26 Medium bulb up to 60W. A 2700K to 3000K LED bulb keeps a bedroom or hallway warm; 3500K to 4000K suits a kitchen, laundry room or closet. Clear Ribbed glass softens the light and cuts glare at eye level. The Black finish fits Transitional schemes.

Where it works best
A flush mount sits tight to the ceiling, so it suits ceilings of 8 ft and lower, where a hanging fixture would cut into headroom. For a room, add its length and width in feet; the total in inches is a good diameter (a 10 x 12 ft bedroom takes about a 22 in fixture). A hallway or closet usually needs 11 to 14 in; in a long hallway, space fixtures about 8 to 10 ft apart.
Who this is not for
It is dry rated, so it is not for a shower area, an uncovered porch or other damp spots. Bulbs are sold separately. At up to 10.75 in tall, it sits lower than a slim flush mount; on a ceiling under 8 ft, pick a shallower model.
Why we carry Maxim
Maxim matches its finishes across collections, so a chandelier, its pendants and its sconces read as one scheme. That is how we build a room around one fixture.
Care and installation
Dust with a soft, dry cloth; clean glass with a lint-free cloth and glass cleaner, with the power off. A qualified electrician should make the connection. Assembly sheet: 15120 (PDF).
