The Maxim Culvert outdoor flush mount is a transitional fixture for a covered porch, an entry overhang, a carport or a breezeway. It is 7.75 in (19.7 cm) tall and 2.5 in (6.3 cm) wide, with built-in LED, in Black or Natural Aged Brass.
Built-in LED, so nothing to relamp; output is 600 to 610 lumens at 3000K. Its damp-location listing calls for cover: under a porch roof, an eave or an overhang. Choose Black or Natural Aged Brass to match the house numbers, door hardware or gutters; it suits Transitional exteriors.

Where it works best
A flush mount sits tight to a porch or overhang ceiling, so it suits ceilings of 8 ft and lower where a hanging lantern would block a door swing. Along a long porch, space fixtures about 8 to 10 ft apart.
Who this is not for
Skip it for an open wall or post that takes rain; that spot needs a wet-location listing. It is a hardwired fixture, so it needs an outdoor-rated junction box; it does not plug in.
Why we carry Maxim
Maxim publishes full specifications, assembly sheets and dimension drawings for its fixtures, which lets us answer fit and installation questions precisely before you order.
Care and installation
Rinse off salt, pollen and cobwebs a few times a year and wipe with a soft cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners on the finish. Have a licensed electrician wire it. Assembly sheets: 86429 (PDF), 56429 (PDF).
Frequently asked questions
Will it work on a low porch ceiling?
Yes. It is 7.75 in (19.7 cm) tall, so it keeps headroom under an 8 ft ceiling.
Is it safe in rain?
Only under cover. The damp-location listing needs a roof, an eave or an overhang above it.
Which bulbs fit, and will it dim?
None; the LED is part of the fixture. It dims with Triac or ELV at 120V dimmers.
