A compact wooden wall sconce that washes a wall with warm light in hallways, bedrooms and stairs.

🇬🇧 Made in EnglandHandmade to orderFSC & PEFC certified oak and walnutRHS five-star award-winning studio

The MacMaster Lotus Wooden Wall Sconce is a half-lotus of timber petals on a brushed stainless steel bracket. The bulb sits behind the petals, so light spills up and down the wall rather than into your eyes. At 12 in wide, 7.5 in tall and 5.9 in deep, it fits narrow corridors and stair walls where a deeper sconce would be in the way.

It is hardwired for 120 V with a G9 lampholder and weighs 1.1 lb. Choose oak for a light, Nordic room or walnut for a warmer, Transitional one.

Where to use it

  • Hallways and stairs: a row of sconces at regular intervals.
  • Bedside: one each side of the bed to free the nightstands.
  • Living room: flanking a fireplace, mirror or artwork.
  • Hotel corridors and restaurants: soft, low-glare wall light.

Planning notes

  • Mount at about 60 to 66 in from the floor in hallways; slightly lower beside a bed.
  • Hardwired: have a qualified electrician install it on a junction box.
  • Use a G9 LED up to 20 W (not included).

Who this is not for

  • Plug-in use: it must be hardwired.
  • Bathrooms, outdoor or damp areas.
  • Reading light on its own.

Care

Dust the timber with a soft, dry cloth or a soft brush. Keep water, spray polish and cleaning sprays off the veneer, and switch off and let the bulb cool before changing it. A warm-white LED keeps heat low and shows the grain at its best.

Why we carry MacMaster

We've been curating design-led pieces since 2009, and MacMaster is the kind of maker we look for: one designer, one workshop, certified timber and no shortcuts. The studio's stands have earned the Royal Horticultural Society's five-star tradestand award at Chelsea six times, most recently in 2026.
