A glare-free wooden pendant in five sizes, from a 10 in Mini to a 35 in statement piece.

The MacMaster Eclipse Wooden Drum Pendant wraps the bulb in curved timber bands so it is completely hidden from view. You get a soft, even glow with no glare, which makes it comfortable to sit under for long dinners or in a living room. It is one of the most flexible MacMaster designs, with five sizes and three timbers.

Sizes run from the Mini (10.2 in wide) to the Extra Large (35.4 in wide), so you can match it to anything from a powder room to a hotel lobby. Choose oak, walnut or the lighter, more affordable birch ply. A cord set is supplied; the bulb is not.

Care

Dust the timber with a soft, dry cloth or a soft brush. Keep water, spray polish and cleaning sprays off the veneer, and switch off and let the bulb cool before changing it. A warm-white LED keeps heat low and shows the grain at its best.

Designer credit

Designed and made by Alex MacMaster, who founded MacMaster Design in 2009 and runs the workshop at The Guildings in Trimpley, near Bewdley, Worcestershire. Design, making and packing all happen in that one workshop, and his pieces are installed in homes, hotels and flagship stores across the UK, Europe and beyond.
