Why we carry it

We have been curating design-led lighting since 2009, and House of Troy earns its place: a Vermont company that has made lamps and picture lights since 1947, with specs it publishes in full. We list only the finishes House of Troy has in its warehouse, and we refresh stock every week, so what you order is what ships.

Care

Dust the stoneware with a soft dry cloth and wipe the linen shade with a lint roller or soft brush. Avoid harsh cleaners on the glaze (our advice).

Safety

Meets California Title 20.

Frequently asked questions

What bulb does the Scatchard Stoneware Swing Arm Wall Lamp take, and is it included?

House of Troy specifies 100W 3-way medium base; the bulb is not included, so order one with your lamp. Use a 3-way bulb to get all three light levels.

How big is the Scatchard Stoneware Swing Arm Wall Lamp?

Overall it is 13.5" high, 9" wide and 12.5" deep. Bedside swing arms are usually mounted so the shade sits 18–24 inches above the mattress top (our guide).

Where is the switch, and does it dim?

The switch is on socket. With a 3-way bulb you get three brightness levels.

Where is it made?

House of Troy lists it as made in the USA. The company has built lighting since 1947 and manufactures in Hyde Park, Vermont. Each Scatchard stoneware body comes from its own pottery there, so glaze tones vary slightly from piece to piece.

Which finishes are available?

It comes in Brown Gloss, Oatmeal, Blue Gloss and Green Matte. Each finish shows live availability; we only take orders for finishes House of Troy has ready to ship, so your order will not be cancelled for stock.

How does it ship?

Shipping is free. It ships via FedEx and typically leaves the warehouse in 2–3 business days.
