The ET2 Vanish is a linear pendant with a clear acrylic body that seems to disappear, in 36, 52 and 72 inch lengths and Gunmetal or Brushed Aluminum ends. It runs on 120 to 277V with 3-in-1 dimming, so it suits dining tables, islands and commercial counters.

Light travels along the acrylic from a slim LED source, so you see a thin line of light with little visible hardware. The machined aluminum ends twist to direct the light where you want it. The body is 2 in square, and each pendant hangs on a 120 in cord, with overall height adjustable from 4 to 124 in. The 52 and 72 in sizes use a 6 in canopy. Rated life is 50000 hours. Gunmetal suits Modern and Industrial rooms, and Brushed Aluminum suits Scandinavian and Minimalist ones.

Where it works best

Hang one over a dining table, about two thirds of its length, or run two in line over a long island. Over a reception desk, the thin profile does not block sightlines. Pair Gunmetal with dark wood and black hardware, and Brushed Aluminum with light oak and white walls.

Who this is not for

It is rated for dry locations only, so keep it indoors. The acrylic is not glass, so avoid solvent cleaners. The LED is integrated, and the 72 in weighs 9 lb, so the box and ceiling must carry it.

How high should the Vanish hang over a table?

Leave about 30 to 36 in between the tabletop and the bottom of the pendant. Overall height adjusts from 4 to 124 in on a 120 in cord.

Can the Vanish go in a bathroom?

The Vanish is rated for dry locations only, so keep it in dining rooms, kitchens, offices and bedrooms, away from showers.

Does the Vanish dim?

Yes. It accepts Triac, ELV or 0-10V dimming, so residential dimmers and commercial 0-10V controls both work with it. Test the low end first.

Which Vanish length should I choose?

Pick a length about two thirds the length of the table. For a 6 ft table, the 52 in works, and for an 8 ft table, choose the 72 in.
