The ET2 Tectonic is a wet-rated wall sconce that casts light up and down through a split between two textured panels, in 14, 18 and 22 inch heights. Integrated 3000K LED gives a warm wash on exterior walls, entries and corridors, with a shallow 3.75 in projection.
Two aluminum panels with an organic relief are split down the middle, and the light escapes from the gap and from the open top and bottom. The result is ambient light that grazes the wall and adds texture, not a direct beam. The exterior is Matte Black, and the interior is powder coated antique brass, which warms the glow. Mounting is flexible, and the 4.75 in wide backplate fits a standard junction box. This finish pairing suits Modern, Industrial and rustic Transitional settings, including brick, stone and stucco walls.

Which size for which room
- 14 in: 4.75 x 14 in, 480 lumens on 8 W, 2 lights. Right for tight spots such as beside a narrow door, in a stair landing or on a short column.
- 18 in: 4.75 x 18 in, 520 lumens on 10 W, 2 lights. A balanced size for most front doors, patio walls and mid-height corridors.
- 22 in: 4.75 x 22 in, 560 lumens on 12 W, 2 lights. The tallest sconce suits long facades, double doors or lobby walls where more height is needed.
Where it works best
Use pairs on either side of an entry, or space a row of them along a patio wall or courtyard corridor so the up and down light overlaps into a continuous wash. The textured panels look best on plain surfaces like smooth stucco or board-formed concrete. Keep nearby fixtures simple, and match the black or brass finishes of the hardware.
Who this is not for
The 120V input and integrated, non-replaceable LED make it a fixture to plan around, not to re-lamp. The spec table does not list a dimming method, so do not plan on dimming without confirmation from ET2. It is a decorative accent, so add separate task or security light where you need brightness.
Why we carry ET2
Tectonic gives plain exterior walls depth with light alone, and the antique brass interior adds warmth that a plain black sconce cannot. We like it for the ADA compliant listing and the three heights that fit most door and corridor widths.
Care and installation
Wipe the exterior with a soft damp cloth and dust inside the slit with a dry brush. Leave installation and repairs to a qualified electrician, as ET2 advises. Assembly sheet: 22 in (PDF).

Frequently asked questions
How high should I hang the Tectonic on a wall?
Center the sconce about 60 to 66 in above the floor for an entry, and give it at least a few inches of clear wall above and below so the up and down light has room to wash the surface. In a corridor, space them 8 to 10 ft apart.
Can the Tectonic go on an exposed exterior wall?
Yes. It is rated for wet locations, so it can sit on an exposed wall in rain or snow, and it also works indoors. Seal the backplate to the wall.
Does the Tectonic dim?
The specification does not list a dimming method, so plan on a fixed output of 480 to 560 lumens depending on size. Have your electrician confirm with ET2 before pairing it with a dimmer.
Which Tectonic size should I pick for a front door?
The 18 in is the safe choice for a standard single door, and the 22 in works for a double door or tall facade. Use the 14 in where wall space is tight.
What should my electrician know before installing the Tectonic?
Input is 120V, and weights run 3.45 to 5.75 lb by size. The backplate is 4.75 in wide and 4.5 to 6.75 in tall, with a 3.75 in projection, and mounting is listed as any orientation.
Does the Tectonic meet ADA projection limits?
The listing marks it as ADA compliant, and it projects 3.75 in from the wall, under the 4 in limit commonly used for corridor lighting. That makes it useful for public entries and hallways.
