Tartan Etched Acrylic Flush Mount, Selectable CCT, Chrome or Champagne, 120-277V, by ET2

The ET2 Tartan is a curling etched acrylic flush mount measuring 16 x 10 x 12 in, with 600 lumens from a 12W LED. A switch at the canopy selects Warm, Neutral or Cool White, and the fixture dims with Triac, ELV or 0-10V.

The grid pattern is etched deep into the transparent acrylic and hand-formed into a curl, so the light breaks into soft facets rather than a flat glow. The fixture runs on 120-277V, is rated for damp locations and weighs 4.84 lb net, which a standard ceiling box can usually carry. The canopy is 7 in across. Polished Chrome suits a Contemporary or Modern entry, while Brushed Champagne warms a Transitional hallway with brass or bronze details.

Where it works best

Use Tartan in an entry, hallway, powder room or bedroom where texture on the ceiling helps. The canopy switch lets the installer tune the light to paint and flooring on the day. Pair it with plain wall lights so the etched acrylic stays the main feature of the room.

Who this is not for

The rating is damp, for covered spaces and not exposed outdoor use. Tartan's LED is permanent and cannot be swapped out. At 600 lumens it is an accent ceiling light, so add task light in kitchens and offices.

Why we carry ET2

Tartan lets the installer choose a color temperature at the canopy, which helps on projects with mixed paint and finishes. The etched acrylic also gives real texture.

Care and installation

Wipe the acrylic with a soft cloth and mild soap, avoiding abrasive pads that could scratch the etching. Hire a licensed electrician for the wiring, which ET2 also advises. Assembly sheet: E24810 (PDF).

Frequently asked questions

Can I change the color temperature of the Tartan?

Yes. A selector at the canopy offers Warm, Neutral and Cool White, listed as 3000K, 3500K and 4000K. Choose the setting during installation.

How bright is it?

It delivers 600 lumens at 12W. That suits an entry or hallway, but add task light in a kitchen, office or dressing area.

Which dimmers work with it?

It has 3-in-1 dimming, so Triac, ELV or 0-10V controls are all fine. Have an electrician match the control to your wall switch.

Can Tartan go in a bathroom?

Yes, in a covered bathroom, since it is damp rated. Do not install Tartan where rain can reach it. The 7 in canopy covers the box.

How much ceiling space does it need?

It measures 16 x 10 x 12 in with a 7 in canopy. Allow room below for head clearance, especially in a low hallway.

What voltage does Tartan use?

It runs on 120-277V, so it suits homes and commercial projects alike. Confirm the supply on site before ordering.
