Swank Orb Multi-Light Pendant, 3, 5, 8 or 10-Light Linear, Acrylic, Chrome or Brass, by ET2

The ET2 Swank gathers clear acrylic orbs, frosted inside, on one canopy, in 3, 5 and 8-light round versions and a 10-light linear, for a dining table, an island, a foyer or a hotel lobby. Each orb holds an LED at 3000K, and the fixtures dim on ELV or Triac.

Metal bands trim each orb, and the dimpled bottom throws a distinctive optical pattern. The round versions are 11.75, 15 and 19 in across with a 5.5 in height, and the linear is 31.25 by 12.5 in. Output rises from 1,300 lumens on the 3-light to 2,160, 3,450 and 4,950 on the larger versions, at 6 watts per light. Overall height runs up to 127.5 in on a 120 in cord. Polished Chrome gives a crisp Modern look, while Natural Aged Brass adds warmth for Transitional and Mid-Century rooms.

Which size for which room

Where it works best

Use the round versions over a round or square table and the linear over an island or long table. In a lobby, the 8-light gives a clear focal point that reads from across the room. Repeat the finish in cabinet pulls or faucets, and keep the walls lit with simple recessed lights.

Who this is not for

Swank is for dry indoor locations, so keep it out of showers and covered outdoor spaces. The 10-light linear weighs 34.83 lb and the 8-light 24.2 lb, so check the ceiling support before ordering. The LED sources are part of the fixture, and the frosted orbs give soft light rather than sharp task beams.

Frequently asked questions

Which Swank size should I choose?

Use the 3-light for small spots, the 5-light for tables to 48 in, the 8-light for large rooms and the linear for rectangular tables. Keep the fixture smaller than the table by at least a foot.

How high should it hang?

About 30 to 36 in above a table. The overall height goes up to 127.5 in on the 120 in cord, so tall rooms are fine.

Does it dim?

It dims on ELV or Triac dimmers. Use one rated for LED loads and test the low end with the other lights on the circuit.

Is it heavy?

The weights range from 8.6 lb on the 3-light to 34.83 lb on the linear. Check the ceiling box and framing for the size you choose.

Can it be used on a sloped ceiling?

The record lists slope allowances of 30 and 70 degrees depending on the version. Ask your electrician to confirm the canopy for your pitch.

Can it go in a bathroom?

Only in a dry bath zone away from the shower, because the rating is Dry. Steam and splash are not suitable for acrylic and the LED.
