Where it works best

Use Pilar on a covered porch, patio, entry or garage, where the damp rating applies, or indoors in a mudroom or hallway. Mount a pair on either side of a door for symmetry and light the threshold. Add landscape lights along the path so the walkway reads from the entry.

Who this is not for

Damp rated means covered areas, not direct rain, so install it under a roof or eave. It is a downlight, so it will not wash a wall with light. Use the E26 bulb type supplied, and keep to the rated wattage of the fixture.
