The ET2 Orb II hangs clear bubble crystal balls from cast Polished Chrome caps, in 3, 5, 9 and 10 light layouts, and each cap holds an LED that lights both up and down. It is damp rated for covered, humid rooms such as baths and covered entries, and puts out 1050 to 4000 lumens.

The crystal screws into the cap, so there are no visible screws and the line stays clean. The LED replaces the older xenon bulb in the middle of the cap, so the cap stays compact. Each fixture is only 6 in tall, with a 118 in cord and overall heights up to 128 in. Widths run 11.5 in for the 3-light to 34 in for the long 10-light, and the 9-light is 21.75 in. Polished Chrome suits Modern, Contemporary and Transitional rooms and ties in with faucets, mirrors and glass.

Where it works best

Use the 3-light in a bathroom or covered entry, the 5-light in a bedroom, and the 9 or 10 light over a dining table or island. The up and down light makes the crystal glow from the center and brightens the ceiling. Match the chrome to faucets and mirror frames for continuity.

Who this is not for

The damp rating covers covered or humid spaces, not rain or direct spray, so it should not hang on an open porch. The CRI is 80+, a little lower than some ET2 crystal pieces. Dimming is Triac CL at 120V, and the LED cannot be replaced.

Yes, in a covered bathroom, since it is damp rated. Keep it out of direct shower spray and from any open outdoor exposure.

How high should the 9-light hang over a table?

Allow about 30 to 36 in from the tabletop. The fixture is just 6 in tall and hangs up to 128 in overall, so the drop is easy to adjust.

Which Orb II suits a kitchen island?

The 10-light at 34 in long suits an island or narrow table. At 4000 lumens, it can also act as the main light.

What does the up and down light do?

Light travels both up toward the ceiling and down toward the floor. That gives gentle ambient fill and lights the crystal from the middle.

Which dimmer should I use?

Orb II is rated for Triac CL dimming at 120V. Pick a forward-phase LED dimmer, and test the low end of the range so the crystal does not flicker or buzz.
