Nucleus LED Glass Orb Pendant, 3 or 5 Lights, Black and Satin Brass, by ET2

The ET2 Nucleus branches thick clear glass orbs from a central column, each orb holding a small aluminum sphere, with an extra downward LED in the column. It comes as a 3-light and a 5-light in a Black and Satin Brass finish, with 2100 and 2800 lumens at 3000K and 90 CRI.

The recessed LEDs sit out of sight, so the orbs read as glowing glass without glare at seated eye level, and the column's downlight adds direct light on the table below. The 3-light is 32 in tall and the 5-light 38 in, with overall heights of 32 to 77.25 in and 38 to 83.25 in. Weights are 12.3 and 15 lb, and the 6 in canopy mounts on ceilings up to a 70 degree slope. Black with brass is a Modern, Mid-Century look that works with walnut and stone.

Which size for which room

• 3 lights: A 26 in wide, 32 in tall fixture with 2100 lumens and 12.3 lb weight, suited to a small table, an island or a compact entry.
• 5 lights: A 28 in wide, 38 in tall fixture with 2800 lumens and 15 lb weight, suited to a larger dining table or a double-height entry.

Where it works best

Hang it over a dining table, where the downlight helps with food and place settings, or in an entry with a high ceiling. It works well over a sculptural table base, because the orbs stay visible from the side. Repeat the brass in cabinet pulls or lamps, and keep surrounding fixtures plain so the orb shapes stay the feature.

Who this is not for

Nucleus is for dry rooms only, so avoid bathrooms or covered outdoor spaces. The LED modules are permanent, so there are no lamps to swap. Dimming is ELV or Triac CL at 120V only, and the overall drop is no taller than 83.25 in, so very tall ceilings need an extension.

Why we carry ET2

Nucleus pairs glass presence with a built-in downlight, which suits a table that needs both decorative and useful light. The orb shapes feel fresh compared with a standard globe cluster.

Care and installation

Clean the glass with a soft damp cloth, dry it, and dust the brass with a dry one. Hanging should be done by a qualified electrician, as ET2 suggests. Assembly sheets: 3 Lights (PDF), 5 Lights (PDF).

Frequently asked questions

How high should the Nucleus hang over a table?

Keep the bottom of the orbs about 30 to 36 in above the tabletop. Overall height of the 3-light runs 32 to 77.25 in.

Does it have a downlight?

Yes. The central column includes its own direct downward-facing LED, which lights the table surface below while the glass orbs carry the decorative glow.

Which dimmers work with it?

Nucleus is listed for ELV or Triac CL dimming at 120V. Install the fixture first, then test the dimmer through its full range to check for flicker at the low end.

Can it hang on a sloped ceiling?

Yes. The listing shows a 70 degree slope allowance, and the canopy is 6 in, so a steeply vaulted living room is workable. Your electrician should confirm the mount.

Which size suits a 6-seat table?

The 5-light at 28 in wide suits a table about 40 to 48 in wide. For a smaller table, the 3-light at 26 in is enough.

Can I use it outside?

No. Nucleus is a dry location fixture, so keep it inside the house and away from porches, steamy bathrooms and any exposure to weather.
