Embrace LED Dual Module Wall Sconce, Rotating Lights, Black, 14 in, by ET2

The ET2 Embrace is a Black 14 in wall sconce with two circular LED modules on a slim rectilinear frame, and each module rotates to aim light where you need it. It gives 550 lumens at 3000K and 90 CRI, dims on a Triac CL dimmer, mounts vertically or horizontally, and is damp rated.

The modules sit at opposite ends of the tube frame and cast directional light, so you can wash the wall or point the light toward a bed or desk. The body is 14 x 4.75 x 4.5 in and weighs 1.85 lb, a small footprint for a task and accent fixture. A matching surface mount for wall or ceiling exists in the collection, and the maker also offers table and floor lamps. Matte Black suits Modern, Industrial and Minimalist rooms with steel, glass and raw wood.

Where it works best

Use Embrace beside a headboard as a bedside reading light, above a desk or beside a mirror, where the rotating heads let you aim light. Mounted horizontally, it works over a console or a shelf. It combines easily with an Embrace table or floor lamp for a coordinated look in a bedroom or study.

Who this is not for

Embrace is damp rated, so keep it under cover and out of rain. The LED has a listed life of 5,000 hours, which is shorter than most integrated LED sconces, so it suits lighter use. The fixture is not ADA listed and dims only on Triac CL dimmers.

Why we carry ET2

Embrace gives two aimable modules in one slim, light sconce. It helps solve bedside and desk lighting where wall space is limited.

Care and installation

Dust the frame and modules with a soft dry cloth, and wipe with a barely damp one. ET2 advises that a qualified electrician make the connection. Assembly sheet: E30521 (PDF).

Frequently asked questions

How do I aim the light from Embrace?

Each circular module rotates, so you can angle it toward a wall, a page or a desk. Adjust the heads after the sconce is mounted and powered.

Can I mount Embrace sideways?

Yes, it can be installed vertically or horizontally. Horizontal works over a console or shelf, and vertical suits narrow wall strips.

Is Embrace good for reading in bed?

The 550 lumens at 3000K with 90 CRI suit bedside reading when aimed at the page. Mount it so the heads sit slightly above shoulder height.

Is Embrace dimmable?

Yes, but only on Triac CL dimmers. Choose one labeled for LED loads and test the low end, since the whole fixture draws 5 watts.

Can it go in a bathroom?

It is damp rated, so a bathroom wall away from direct spray is fine. It should not be installed where it will be rained on.

How long does the LED last?

The listed rated life is 5,000 hours. That is shorter than most sconces here, so it suits low-use areas such as guest rooms.
