The ET2 Continuum LED Gimbal Flat Track Light is a slim bar head on a gimbal for Continuum track, in 5 or 9 in and in Black or White. It gives 300 or 450 lumens of soft 3000K light at 90 CRI with a flat, even spread, runs at 24V with Triac dimming.
The flat lens spreads the light more softly than an optic head, so it suits a surface that needs an even glow, such as a bookshelf, a counter or a framed print. The gimbal still lets you tilt the head. Each is aluminum and polycarbonate, 1 in wide and 2.25 in tall, with 90 CRI and a 50,000 hour rated life. They run at 24V and are rated for Triac dimming. The 5 in head uses 6 W and weighs 0.4 lb, and the 9 in uses 9 W and weighs 0.81 lb. Use Black in Modern and Industrial rooms, and White in Scandinavian and Minimalist ones.

Which size for which room
- 5 in: The 5 in head is 5 x 1 x 2.25 in with 300 lumens at 6 W. Use it on a small shelf or a short rail, or one per frame in a row.
- 9 in: The 9 in head is 9 x 1 x 2.25 in with 450 lumens at 9 W. Use it on a wider shelf, a counter or a larger print.
Where it works best
The flat gimbal works best for even light on shelves, counters and framed work, and it pairs well with optic heads that supply the accent. Use the same finish along the rail and aim all heads at the same angle. It suits shops, studios and kitchens where glare on shiny surfaces is a concern.
Who this is not for
It is rated for dry locations only, so avoid bathrooms and outdoor spaces. Output is lower than the optic version, at 300 and 450 lumens, so it is soft light and not a spotlight. It needs a Continuum track and 24V feed.
Why we carry ET2
The flat lens gives an even, low-glare result on shelves and counters. We stock it beside the optic version so a rail can mix soft and focused light.
Care and installation
Dust the head with a soft dry cloth and keep moisture away. A qualified electrician should handle the supply. Assembly sheets: 5 in (PDF), 9 in (PDF).

Frequently asked questions
How is the flat version different from the optic version?
The flat lens gives a softer, more even spread, while the optic head shapes a more defined beam. Choose flat for shelves and counters, and optic when you want to pick out an object.
How bright is the flat gimbal head?
The 5 in gives 300 lumens at 6 W and the 9 in gives 450 lumens at 9 W. Both are 3000K with 90 CRI. Add more heads along the rail to cover a larger area.
Can the head be re-aimed?
Yes, the gimbal tilts the head. Aim it after powering the rail so you can see where the light falls, then tighten the gimbal gently so it holds position.
Is the flat gimbal head dimmable?
Yes, it is rated for Triac dimming at 24V. Use a matched driver, and test at low levels because the feed and the number of heads both affect how smoothly the lights dim.
Which finishes are offered?
Black and White. Match the rail color so the heads look like part of the track. Keep one finish along the run for a consistent appearance.
Can the flat gimbal head be used outdoors?
No, it is rated for dry locations, so use it indoors. For a covered or exposed space choose a product with a damp or wet rating. Keep it away from steam and spray.
