Where it works best

Use a few of these along a wall at hip height to mark a path or entry, or mount one at each side of a service door. Because the projection is under an inch, the light also fits narrow walkways and stair walls. Match the finish to the wall color so the square reads as a detail, not a spotlight.

Who this is not for

At 70 lumens, it is not enough for task lighting or security, so use it as accent light. The LED is integrated and not meant to be changed, and the light is not Dark Sky listed. Dimming is limited to ELV, so a standard Triac dimmer will not suit.

How high should I mount the Alumilux Outline along a wall?

For wayfinding, many installers place small squares like this 18 to 36 in above the floor or step. As a door accent, 60 in to the center works. Space fixtures at least 6 ft apart so the soft glow does not look cluttered.

Can the Alumilux Outline go outdoors?

Yes. It is rated for wet locations, so it can sit on exposed walls and also works in indoor spaces. Its 0.75 in depth and aluminum body suit tight areas.

Does the Alumilux Outline dim?

Yes, but only with an ELV dimmer, per the spec table. Use a compatible ELV LED dimmer and test the low end. A standard Triac dimmer is not what ET2 lists.

Which finish should I choose?
