Why we carry it

We’ve been curating design-led pieces since 2009. The Balloon Mirror is the kind of small object museum stores choose: according to EO it was in the MoMA Design Store’s spring-summer 2019 collection and has been sold at the Centre Pompidou in Paris.

Buy once: durability and care

Glass, oak and leather. The distributor doesn’t publish care; our advice is to wipe the glass with a soft cloth and keep water off the leather strap and oak knot.

Safety

Real mirror glass: mount securely and out of reach of small children (our advice).

Frequently asked questions

How big is the Small EO Play Balloon Mirror?

The Small measures 36 × 28 cm (14.2 × 11 in), 1 cm (0.4 in) deep. EO also makes a Large (46 × 36 cm / 18.1 × 14.2 in) that appears in some photos; we currently carry the Small.

Is the Balloon Mirror sold as a pair?

No. This listing is one Small Balloon Mirror. Several photos show it next to the Large size for scale and styling.

What materials is the Balloon Mirror made from?

High-quality mirror glass, a “knot” in European oak and a fine leather strap as the balloon string, made in the EU.

How should I hang the EO Balloon Mirror in a nursery?

The distributor doesn’t specify the hanging hardware. Our advice: fix it securely into the wall, above crib and toddler height, because it is real glass.
