Diffused-light ring pendant with a calendered die-cast aluminum body, opal polycarbonate diffuser and a 98.4" coaxial power cable. The LED strip faces inward along the circumference, which Egoluce says gives particularly high visual comfort and makes the ring look lighter than it is. Egoluce has made 100% Made-in-Italy lighting near Milan since 1978, working with Italian companies and artisans.

Best for

Dining tables, kitchen islands, reception desks, stairwells and double-height entries; two or three rings at different heights make a statement in a lobby or open-plan living room. As a rule of thumb (our advice, not Egoluce's), pick a ring about 12" narrower than the table it hangs over: Mini for a round table up to 36", Small for 40–48" tables, Medium for 6–8 ft tables and Large for big islands, lobbies and double-height rooms.

Who this is not for

• Bathrooms, covered porches or anywhere damp: it is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms.
• Renters or anyone without an electrician: it is hardwired to a ceiling box.
• Anyone who needs light within days: each ring is made to order in Italy.

Why we carry it

We have curated design-led lighting since 2009 and are an authorized Egoluce retailer. Egoluce is the kind of family-owned Milanese maker we like: founded in 1978 by three friends, Bruno, Mario and Renato, still building every fixture in Italy, testing 100% of them before they ship and designing the LED units so they can be replaced instead of thrown away. Satin Gold and Chrome are offered on Mini and Small only; the painted finishes and White and Black come in every size. The Lancia Tonda XL/XXL rings, multi-ring Lancia Tonda System and the off-center 0536 canopy are special orders: contact us.

Buy once: durability and care

Egoluce says its aluminum bodies and internal heat sinks are there to extend the life of the LEDs, and that LED units are designed for easy replacement. Our advice for care: switch off, let it cool and dust with a dry microfiber cloth; no solvents on painted finishes. Egoluce does not publish separate care instructions.

Color rendering is CRI >90, so wood, fabric and skin tones look true.

Yes, Egoluce's US product file lists it as dimmable. Egoluce does not publish the dimmer protocol, so send us the dimmer you plan to use and we will confirm compatibility with Egoluce before you order.
