Anaconda is a 16-foot flexible silicone light tube that glows 360 degrees and can be bent into loops, waves or a signature across a wall or ceiling. This kit is the ready-to-install version: the tube, a straight methacrylate section, both end caps, five suspension kits and the 48V driver for 110V power, so there is nothing else to specify. Egoluce has made 100% Made-in-Italy lighting near Milan since 1978, working with Italian companies and artisans.

Best for

Lobbies, restaurants, retail, stairwells and double-height living rooms where a drawn line of light becomes the artwork. Our advice: sketch the shape on the wall with tape first; the five suspension kits hold the tube in a ceiling-hung curve, and Egoluce's painted brackets (special order) fix it to a wall.

Who this is not for

• Anyone who wants a plug-and-play lamp: it is a system that an electrician installs and shapes.
• Small rooms: the tube is 16 feet long and needs space to make its shape.
• Anyone who needs light within days: it is made to order in Italy.

Why we carry it

We have curated design-led lighting since 2009 and are an authorized Egoluce retailer. Egoluce is the kind of family-owned Milanese maker we like: founded in 1978 by three friends, Bruno, Mario and Renato, still building every fixture in Italy, testing 100% of them before they ship and designing the LED units so they can be replaced instead of thrown away. Egoluce makes Anaconda in 33-ft and 66-ft lengths and sells colored wall brackets, extra suspension kits and canopies separately: contact us to configure a custom Anaconda.

Buy once: durability and care

Egoluce says its aluminum bodies and internal heat sinks are there to extend the life of the LEDs, and that LED units are designed for easy replacement. Our advice for care: switch off, let it cool and dust with a dry microfiber cloth; no solvents on painted finishes. Egoluce does not publish separate care instructions.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the Egoluce Anaconda take to arrive?

Made to order in Italy. Please allow 9 to 11 weeks for delivery. Egoluce makes each piece to order near Milan, and we email you the confirmed ship date after you order. Free shipping on orders over $100.

Which color temperature should I choose for the Egoluce Anaconda?

2700K is very warm, candle-like; 3000K is warm white, the usual choice for homes; 4000K is neutral white, crisp and clean. Most of our clients choose 3000K for homes and 4000K for offices and retail (our advice).

How bright is the Egoluce Anaconda?

Egoluce lists the LED source output as: 196.9" kit (62.5W): 2700K 4,500 lm, 3000K 5,000 lm, 4000K 5,500 lm. Color rendering is CRI >90, so wood, fabric and skin tones look true.

Can the Egoluce Anaconda be dimmed?

Yes, Egoluce's US product file lists it as dimmable. Egoluce does not publish the dimmer protocol, so send us the dimmer you plan to use and we will confirm compatibility with Egoluce before you order.

What comes in the box with the Egoluce Anaconda?

Complete kit: 196.9" Anaconda tube, 39.97" methacrylate straight tube, end cap, end cap with cable exit, 5 suspension kits, 48V 100W driver for 110V. Everything in the kit is listed in the description above; wall brackets in colors are a separate order.

Where does the Egoluce Anaconda work best?

Our advice: sketch the shape on the wall with tape first; the five suspension kits hold the tube in a ceiling-hung curve, and Egoluce's painted brackets (special order) fix it to a wall.
