Best for

Best for living rooms, bedrooms and reading corners that need a footrest or an extra seat. As a footrest, aim for a top within 1–2" of your sofa or chair seat height, set about 14–18" from the seat edge (our advice).

Who this is not for

• Anyone pairing it with a much higher or lower seat: it stands 16.8" tall, and a footrest feels best within 1–2" of the seat it serves (our advice).
• Anyone who needs more than the 265 lb weight capacity TOV lists.
• Outdoor use: this is indoor furniture; TOV makes separate outdoor ottomans.

Buy once: durability and care

Built with performance upholstery, fabric TOV lists as easy-clean and handmade construction. TOV's care advice: blot spills right away with a clean, dry cloth (rubbing can push a stain deeper), vacuum with an upholstery attachment, keep the ottoman out of direct sun to limit fading, and test any cleaner on a hidden spot first. TOV also notes that, depending on the fabric, some pilling or crushing of the pile can occur over time.
