Darcy 59" Concrete Indoor/Outdoor Console Table by TOV Furniture

An indoor/outdoor console table from TOV Furniture in 2 colors.

The Darcy 59" Concrete Indoor/Outdoor Console Table is an indoor/outdoor console table made of concrete and metal with a faux travertine finish (by color), offered in Travertine and Breccia. Cast concrete gives it real heft and a stone-like surface. It measures 59"W x 16"D x 30.3"H with a rectangular top, and TOV rates the top for up to 175 lb. At 30.3" high it is within the usual 30–34" sofa-back range, so behind a sofa it sits at or just below the back (our guide). At 59" long it suits a sofa about 65" long or longer (our guide: a console about 6–12" shorter than the sofa looks balanced). TOV rates it for indoor and outdoor use and recommends covering it in bad weather or when not in use.

Best for

Best for entryways, hallways and the back of a sofa indoors, and covered patios and porches outdoors. Behind a sofa, keep the console at or just below the sofa back and about 6–12" shorter than the sofa; in an entryway, hang a mirror about two-thirds the console width, 4–10" above the top, and keep 36" of walkway beside it (our guide).

Who this is not for

• Sofas shorter than about 65": a console behind a sofa looks best about 6–12" shorter than the sofa (our guide).
• Narrow hallways under about 52" wide: at 16" deep it needs about 36" of walkway beside it (our guide).
• Anyone who wants a stain-proof surface: concrete is porous and should be wiped quickly and used with coasters (our advice).
• Anyone who needs Breccia within days: that option is currently on pre-order.
• Anyone who wants to leave it uncovered in all weather: TOV recommends covering it during bad weather or when not in use.

Why we carry it

We've been curating design-led furniture since 2009, and TOV Furniture earns its place with console tables that do real work in an entryway or behind a sofa while looking like a sculptural piece. We are an authorized TOV seller, and every option listed here carries TOV's own item number and UPC, so you can check exactly what you are buying.

Buy once: durability and care

Built with fiberglass-reinforced concrete (per TOV) and materials TOV rates for outdoor use. Our advice (TOV publishes only general care for this item): wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap, dry it, and use coasters; concrete is porous, so blot oil or wine right away. Outdoors, bring it under cover or use a cover in freezing weather and heavy rain.
