A dark corner or a long sofa wall needs more light than a single-bulb floor lamp gives. The Carpyen Tripod has two E26 sockets under a wide shade, and a choice of two sizes to scale it to the room.

Place Tripod in a corner, behind a sofa end or beside a lounge chair, with room for the legs to spread. The smaller size suits apartments and bedrooms; the larger one fits living rooms with higher ceilings. Two sockets let you use two bulbs for a brighter glow. Gabriel Teixidó (born Barcelona, 1947) has worked as an industrial designer since 1970 and is known for practical, long-lasting designs; his honors include SIDI awards and several ADI-FAD Delta de Plata awards. Carpyen, founded in Barcelona in 1948, makes it in its own Barcelona workshops.
