The design: studio blomus

studio blomus is the in-house design team at the blomus headquarters in Sundern, Germany. It develops many of the brand’s everyday pieces in close contact with the company’s own production know-how, which goes back to 1961, and keeps each series in the shared blomus color palette so pieces can be combined across collections.

Why we carry it

We are an authorized blomus retailer and have been curating design-led pieces for the home since 2009. KAPI is a compact shower squeegee we like for glass enclosures: soft silicone over a stiff metal core, with a suction-cup holder that keeps it on the tile. blomus is a family company run by the fourth generation of the Blome family in Sundern, Germany. It began in 1921 making bicycle parts, moved into copper, brass, pewter and stainless-steel design pieces in 1961, and has worked under the blomus name since 2000.
