The designers: kaschkasch
kaschkasch is a German design studio founded in 2011 by Florian Kallus (born 1983) and Sebastian Schneider (born 1985). The duo works across furniture, lighting and art direction for international brands and is known for simple, refined pieces that balance function and beauty. Their blomus work has won a Red Dot Award (ANI lamp, 2019) and a German Design Award Special (STAY outdoor range, 2021).
Why we carry it
We are an authorized blomus retailer and have been curating design-led pieces for the home since 2009. ILO means joy in Finnish. The four barware tools take their cues from Japanese woodcraft: soft, rounded, almost carved shapes in PVD-coated stainless steel, a hard-wearing finish, in Moonbeam (beige) or Magnet (charcoal). Each piece comes in its own blomus presentation box. blomus is a family company run by the fourth generation of the Blome family in Sundern, Germany. It began in 1921 making bicycle parts, moved into copper, brass, pewter and stainless-steel design pieces in 1961, and has worked under the blomus name since 2000.
