Designed by studio blomus, the company’s in-house team of designers, product developers and engineers in Sundern, Germany. The team works to the blomus design DNA: honest materials, quiet forms and colors that last.

Why we carry it

We are an authorized blomus retailer and have been curating design-led pieces for the home since 2009. Every FUUMI piece is mouth-blown by experienced glassmakers. The bowl is solid-colored glass in Smoke (a soft gray) or Coffee (a warm brown); on the stemmed glasses the stem and foot stay clear. Hand-blown glass shows small flow lines, the odd tiny bubble and slight changes in thickness, so the color varies gently from piece to piece. blomus is a family company run by the fourth generation of the Blome family in Sundern, Germany. It began in 1921 making bicycle parts, moved into copper, brass, pewter and stainless-steel design pieces in 1961, and has worked under the blomus name since 2000.

The glass carafe is dishwasher safe, according to blomus; wipe the cork lid by hand and let it dry, and do not put it in the dishwasher. Flow lines, tiny bubbles and slight differences in thickness and tint are normal in mouth-blown glass.
