blomus AVA Glass Vanity Canister with Lid

A small hand-blown glass canister with a colored lid, for cotton pads, swabs, hair ties and makeup bits.

The AVA canister is 3.2" across and 2.6" tall, sized for cotton pads, cotton swabs, hair ties or a stash of makeup sponges. The glass is blown by hand and, in Tan and Black, deepens in tone toward the base; the White version pairs clear glass with a white lid. The lid is colored plastic, and the canister works just as well on a dressing table or nightstand as at the basin.

Why we carry it

We are an authorized blomus retailer and have been curating design-led pieces for the home since 2009. AVA is our pick for a soft, spa-like bathroom: hand-blown glass that deepens in color toward a heavier base, alongside curved holders in Tan, Black and White. blomus is a family company run by the fourth generation of the Blome family in Sundern, Germany. It began in 1921 making bicycle parts, moved into copper, brass, pewter and stainless-steel design pieces in 1961, and has worked under the blomus name since 2000.

Buy once: durability and care

Wash the glass by hand with mild soap and water; it is not dishwasher safe. Because the glass is blown by hand, each piece may show tiny air bubbles and slight differences in shape and weight, which are part of its character.
