Blackjack Lighting TGA2 48-Inch 18-Globe LED Rectangular Chandelier

TGA2 hangs eighteen 3-inch frosted globes from a single 48 by 24-inch rectangular canopy, set out in six neat rows of three, all at the same level. The effect is a floating grid of soft light: orderly, architectural and calm. It is sized for a large rectangular dining table, a kitchen island with seating, a conference or boardroom table, a reception area or a restaurant's communal table, and it fills a generous ceiling plane without the visual weight of a traditional chandelier. In Matte Black, White or Polished Chrome it suits Modern, Scandinavian and Transitional interiors in homes and commercial spaces alike.

Each frosted acrylic globe glows evenly with no visible LED, and together they deliver 1,530 lumens of warm 3000K light at 90 CRI, spread across the whole table rather than concentrated in one spot. The driver is built into the canopy and runs on 120-277V with universal TRIAC, ELV and 0-10V dimming. It arrives pre-set to a 72-inch overall height, and the cables adjust on site to a maximum of 104 inches, so it works under standard and tall ceilings. Cable lengths up to 300 inches can be ordered for very high spaces.

Why it works over a large table

• Even light across the surface: 18 globes on 8 in (20.3 cm) centers spread light over the full 4 x 2 ft area.
• Glare-free: frosted acrylic globes hide every LED.
• True color: 90 CRI warm 3000K light.
• One canopy, one connection: the driver is integral to the 48 x 24 in canopy.
• Universal dimming on 120-277V: TRIAC, ELV or 0-10V.
• Adjustable: pre-set at 72 in overall, field adjustable to 104 in.

Where to use it

• Dining table: over a 72 to 96 in table seating six to ten, globes 30 to 36 in (76 to 91 cm) above the top.
• Kitchen island: over a wide island or a large breakfast table.
• Conference rooms and boardrooms: a softer, more sculptural alternative to recessed troffers.
• Lobbies, restaurants and retail: over reception desks, communal tables and display tables.

About Blackjack Lighting and Stephen Blackman

Blackjack Lighting is a design- and technology-driven lighting maker based in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, outside Chicago. It is led by industrial designer Stephen Blackman, its President and Chief Design Officer. A Syracuse University industrial design graduate, he entered the lighting industry in 1984 at Sonneman Design Group and founded his own studio, Blackman Design Associates, in 1988, designing for manufacturers such as Kichler Lighting before launching Blackjack in 2013. His focus has always been practical: fixtures built around LED light from the start, and multi-light pieces like TGA2 that spread even, glare-free light across a whole table.

FAQ

What size table does it suit?

The 48 x 24 in canopy suits rectangular tables of about 72 to 96 in long and 36 to 42 in wide, or a large island.

How high should it hang?

Keep the globes 30 to 36 in above the table. It ships pre-set at 72 in overall and adjusts to 104 in; longer cables can be ordered for very tall ceilings.

What does it need for mounting?

At 68 lb, it needs solid structural support in the ceiling in addition to the junction box. Follow the installation instructions and use a qualified electrician.

Will it work with my dimmer?

Yes in most cases. The integral driver supports TRIAC (incandescent-style), ELV and 0-10V dimming on 120-277V.

Which finish should I choose?

White makes the canopy disappear into a white ceiling; Matte Black frames the globes graphically; Polished Chrome adds sparkle to the canopy and sockets.
