The Surface Acrylic Globe is a small, jewel-like ceiling light: a 3-inch acrylic globe on a short 2-inch neck, mounted right at the ceiling. It brings the look of a mini globe pendant to places where a hanging fixture would be in the way, such as low ceilings, closets and pantries, hallways and stair landings, bathrooms and powder rooms, over a bed or a reading nook, or in a grid across a restaurant, boutique or hotel corridor ceiling. Choose a Bubble globe for sparkle, a Clear globe that shows its glowing light guide, or a Frosted globe for a soft, even glow; set it on a Matte Black, White or Polished Chrome canopy for Modern, Scandinavian or Transitional rooms.

The light is gentle and decorative. A 3-watt integrated LED lights the acrylic from within, giving 135 lumens of warm 3000K light at 90 CRI with no visible bulb. Two canopy options make it easy to install: the 5-inch canopy has a universal 120-277V driver built in and dims on TRIAC, ELV or 0-10V; the slim 2-inch fascia canopy sits almost flush on a rigid ceiling and connects to a remote driver (sold separately), ideal when you want many points of light with one driver. It is rated for damp locations.

Blackjack Lighting is a design- and technology-driven lighting maker based in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, outside Chicago. It is led by industrial designer Stephen Blackman, its President and Chief Design Officer. A Syracuse University industrial design graduate, he entered the lighting industry in 1984 at Sonneman Design Group and founded his own studio, Blackman Design Associates, in 1988, designing for manufacturers such as Kichler Lighting before launching Blackjack in 2013. Which canopy should I choose?

Choose the 5 in canopy for a single fixture on a standard junction box: the driver is built in. Choose the 2 in canopy for a nearly flush look on a rigid ceiling when an electrician will install a remote driver, often to run several globes from one driver.

Bubble, Clear or Frosted?

Bubble sparkles most and suits bathrooms and dressing areas; Clear shows the glowing light guide inside the globe; Frosted gives the softest, most even glow.

Will it dim?

Yes. With the 5 in canopy, the built-in driver supports TRIAC (incandescent-style), ELV and 0-10V dimming. With the 2 in canopy, dimming depends on the remote driver you choose.

Can it go in a bathroom?

Yes. Blackjack rates it for damp locations; keep it away from direct water spray.

Is the LED replaceable?
