Milo is a clean, hard-working bath light: a long frosted acrylic tube on a stamped steel Satin Nickel back plate, mounted horizontally above the mirror. It lights a primary bath, a powder room, a guest bath or a hotel, rental or office restroom, and comes in three lengths so it can match a single sink, a wide single vanity or a double vanity. The slim, Modern profile sits comfortably in contemporary, Transitional and spa-style rooms, and the Satin Nickel finish pairs with most bath hardware.

The light is made for the mirror. The frosted tube runs the full length of the fixture, so light spreads evenly across the face with no bright spots or harsh shadows, and 90 CRI at 3000K shows skin tones and makeup accurately. The 24 and 36 in sizes give 1,280 lumens from 21 W; the 48 in gives 1,700 lumens from 25 W. All three dim on a standard 120V TRIAC dimmer, and the 24 in is JA8 compliant for California Title 24 projects.

About Blackjack Lighting and Stephen Blackman

Blackjack Lighting is a design- and technology-driven lighting maker based in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, outside Chicago. It is led by industrial designer Stephen Blackman, its President and Chief Design Officer. A Syracuse University industrial design graduate, he entered the lighting industry in 1984 at Sonneman Design Group and founded his own studio, Blackman Design Associates, in 1988, designing for manufacturers such as Kichler Lighting before launching Blackjack in 2013. Which length fits my mirror?

Choose a fixture a little narrower than the mirror: 24 in for mirrors around 30 in (76 cm), 36 in for mirrors around 42 in (107 cm), and 48 in for double vanities and mirrors 54 in (137 cm) and wider.

How high should I mount it?

Typically 75 to 80 in from the floor to the center of the fixture, or a few inches above the top of the mirror.

Can it mount vertically beside a mirror?

The Milo Vanity is designed as a horizontal fixture over the mirror. For side lighting, use the 14 in Milo wall sconce in pairs.

Where does the driver go?

On the 24 and 36 in sizes the driver sits in the wall junction box behind the shallow back plate; on the 48 in it sits inside the deep back plate. Have a qualified electrician install it.

What dimmer do I need?

A standard 120V TRIAC (incandescent-style) dimmer.
