Blackjack Lighting Geodome 32-Inch Geometric Open Sphere Pendant, LED or E26

Geodome makes the most of what isn't there. Steel bars join into a 32-inch open geodesic sphere, so the fixture reads as a large, sculptural form while staying airy and see-through. It is a natural centerpiece for a two-story foyer, a great room, an open stairwell, a dining room with a tall ceiling, or a restaurant, hotel lobby or showroom. In Matte Black it draws a crisp graphic line; in Polished Chrome it sparkles. Either way it suits Modern, industrial-loft and Mid-Century interiors.

Choose the light inside. The LED version gives 1,737 lumens at 90 CRI from 23 W and dims on TRIAC, ELV or 0-10V controls on 120-277V, so the frame glows and the room below gets real light. The E26 version takes a standard screw-in bulb (not included), letting you choose a decorative globe or filament lamp. The cable adjusts for an overall height from 36 to 128 inches, so it can float high in a stairwell or come down over a table.

About Blackjack Lighting and Stephen Blackman

Blackjack Lighting is a design- and technology-driven lighting maker based in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, outside Chicago. It is led by industrial designer Stephen Blackman, its President and Chief Design Officer. A Syracuse University industrial design graduate, he entered the lighting industry in 1984 at Sonneman Design Group and founded his own studio, Blackman Design Associates, in 1988, designing for manufacturers such as Kichler Lighting before launching Blackjack in 2013. His focus has always been practical: fixtures built around LED light from the start, with even, glare-free light, here wrapped in an open geometric frame.

What ceiling height does Geodome need?

The fixture is 32 in tall, so it is happiest on ceilings of about 10 ft and up, or in two-story foyers and stairwells. Keep the bottom at least 7 ft above walkways, or 30 to 36 in above a table.

How is it mounted?

The 6.5 in canopy mounts to a standard ceiling junction box. Have a qualified electrician install it; the instruction sheet above shows assembly and wiring.

LED or E26: which should I choose?

Choose LED for 1,737 lumens at 90 CRI and dimming on TRIAC, ELV or 0-10V. Choose E26 to use your own decorative bulb (not included).
