A-Lamp is a small pendant with a sense of humor: a clear cast-acrylic rod with the outline of a classic light bulb laser-etched inside it. About Blackjack Lighting and Stephen Blackman

Blackjack Lighting is a design- and technology-driven lighting maker based in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, outside Chicago. It is led by industrial designer Stephen Blackman, its President and Chief Design Officer. A Syracuse University industrial design graduate, he entered the lighting industry in 1984 at Sonneman Design Group and founded his own studio, Blackman Design Associates, in 1988, designing for manufacturers such as Kichler Lighting before launching Blackjack in 2013. Most islands take three to five. Space them evenly along the length, keep the end pendants about 6 to 12 in in from the counter edges, and hang them roughly 30 to 36 in above the work surface.

What does it mount to?
