The Besa Silk 16 is a flush mount ceiling light. Its glass: Matte etched opal glass diffuser whose upper cap is an artistically finished part of the same glass, in Black or Gold; lit, the soothing opal contrasts with what looks like a spun-metal cap. Opal/Black is the graphic choice; Opal/Gold warms the room and picks up brass hardware. It is sized for kitchens, living rooms, dining areas and primary bedrooms.

Order it with incandescent lamping (3 x 60W A19 medium (E26) base lamps of your choice, not included) or as the LED version with an integrated 30W LED: 3000 lumens at 3000K, CRI 90+, rated 50,000 hours, so there is no bulb to change. The cap color (Black or Gold) is part of the glass itself; the aluminum fitter is black on every version, and three set screws hold the glass so it comes off for cleaning. At 16" diameter x 4.75" H it sits close to the ceiling.

Buy once: durability and care

Switch off and let it cool, then wipe the glass with a soft cloth lightly dampened with mild soapy water and dry it; avoid abrasive cleaners (our advice). The LED version is integrated and rated for 50,000 hours. Installation by a licensed electrician is recommended; 90°C supply wire is required for incandescent lamping.
