Best for

Bathrooms, powder rooms, bedrooms and hallways. The Nico 4 suits a powder room, a hallway or either side of a mirror or bed. Related: Nico 4 3-light vanity light, Nico 4 2-light vanity light.

Who this is not for

• Outdoor walls and open patios: Besa rates the Nico 4 for damp locations, interior use only.
• Anyone who needs every glass identical: handcrafted glass varies slightly from shade to shade.
• Anyone with a non-dimming wall switch who wants smooth dimming: add a compatible dimmer (not included).
• Anyone who wants one fixture to light a wide mirror on its own: use a pair, or a vanity version.

Why we carry it

We have been curating design-led lighting since 2009, and the Nico 4 wall sconce brings handcrafted Besa glass to a bath or hall in a small, simple package. Besa Lighting pairs American design with European glass artisanship: its shades are hand-blown by skilled artisans using techniques passed down for generations, then hand-inspected at Besa’s factory in Ohio for color, pattern, thickness and size before they ship.

Buy once: durability and care

With the power off and the glass cool, wipe it with a soft cloth lightly misted with glass cleaner (spray the cloth, not the fixture), and dust the metal parts with a dry microfiber cloth (our advice). Lamps are replaceable, and installation by a licensed electrician is recommended.
