• ✓ 1 light
• ✓ 8.5" wide
• ✓ Wet rated
• ✓ UL or ETL Listed
• ✓ Lamp not included
• ✓ 3 finishes

This is the Besa Lighting Costaluz 3061 wall lantern. It measures 8.5" wide x 12" high x 10.125" deep. Wall bracket installs directly to a 4" octagonal outlet box, centered on the fixture.

The 3061 globe is blown in Europe into a mold and then hand-painted, and Besa sets it on a cast aluminum bracket or post fitter. The black finish is applied with a technique meant to hold up outdoors, and the clear inner glass can be softly frosted. Besa pairs it with the 3019 sconce. Lamping: 1 x 75W A19 medium-base (E26) lamp, not included. Besa photographs the clear-inside version of each finish on this wall lantern, so the frosted-inside options share those photos. 1 of the 6 combinations is sold out at the moment and show as unavailable until Besa restocks.

Best for

Best for front walls, driveway posts, garden gates and patio walls where a round globe should give soft light. Related: Costaluz 3061 post lantern.

Who this is not for

• Anyone who wants a security floodlight: this is a decorative fixture that gives a soft pool of light, not a security-light beam.
• Anyone ordering by eye: check the size above (8.5" wide x 12" high x 10.125" deep) against your wall, door and ceiling height before you buy.
• Anyone who needs a lamp thrown in: the standard version takes lamps that you supply.
• Anyone who wants every piece identical: handcrafted glass varies slightly from piece to piece, which is part of the look.

Why we carry it

We have been curating design-led lighting since 2009, and the Costaluz 3061 wall lantern is a dependable way to put a well-made Besa fixture on a wall: hand-painted European glass in a cast or stainless fitter built for exposed walls. Besa Lighting pairs American design with European glass artisanship: its shades are hand-blown by skilled artisans using techniques passed down for generations, then hand-inspected at Besa’s factory in Ohio for color, pattern, thickness and size before they ship.

Buy once: durability and care

With the power off and the fixture cool, wipe the glass with a soft cloth lightly misted with glass cleaner (spray the cloth, not the fixture) and dust the metal parts with a dry microfiber cloth (our advice). Outdoors, a gentle rinse with a garden hose clears dust and pollen; avoid pressure washing. Lamps are replaceable, and installation by a licensed electrician is recommended.
