The Bolla is Besa Lighting’s small-scale 120V pendant: a hand-blown glass shade 5.875 inches across and 5.25 inches high, softly radiused so it sits comfortably in contemporary rooms. It hangs from a 10-foot cord on a flat canopy that mounts straight to a standard ceiling box, so no transformer or monorail is needed.

Pick from six glasses. Opal Matte is a soft white cased glass with a calm, even glow; Carrera is clear glass rolled in fine white frit and blown with a semi-clear frosted inner layer, so it glows a soft white with an alabaster-like pattern. Amber Cloud floats warm tones from light gold to deep amber between an opal inner layer and a clear glossy outer layer, while Blue Cloud, Honey and Red Cloud add stronger color. Choose the LED version with its 9W dimmable source included (800 lumens, 3000K, CRI 90+) or the incandescent version for a 40W G16.5 or 50W xenon candelabra bulb of your choice.

Buy once: durability and care

Switch off and let the shade cool, then dust it with a soft dry cloth; for fingerprints, mist the cloth (not the fixture) with glass cleaner and dry the metal straight away (our advice). The LED source is replaceable. Installation by a licensed electrician is recommended.

Does the Bolla need a transformer?

No. This is the 120V version: it connects directly to a standard 4" octagonal or round ceiling box with its flat canopy.

What bulb does the Bolla incandescent version take?

One 40W G16.5 or 50W xenon bulb with a candelabra (E12) base, sold separately. It dims with a standard incandescent dimmer.

Does the Bolla LED version include the light source?

Yes. It includes a 9W dimmable, replaceable LED source: 800 lumens at 3000K with CRI 90+, rated 30,000 hours.

How many Bolla pendants fit over a kitchen island?

Because each shade is under 6" wide, three or four over a typical island look balanced, spaced about 18–24" apart (our advice).

Can I use the Bolla in a bathroom?

Yes. Besa rates it for damp locations, interior use only.
