Best for
Best for living rooms and dens, in front of the sofa. Leave about 16–18" between the sofa seat and the table edge and 30–36" for walkways, and choose a table about two-thirds the length of your sofa (our guide). This one: at 47.8" it suits a sofa about 67–76" long. An oval top gives a long sofa the length it needs with softer corners for tight walkways (our guide).
Who this is not for
- Long sofas and big sectionals: at 47.8" it suits a sofa up to about 76" long (our guide: a coffee table about two-thirds of the sofa length); in front of a 90" sofa, pair two or pick a larger table.
- Heavy loads: TOV rates the top for up to 210 lb.
- Outdoor use: this is an indoor table; TOV makes separate indoor/outdoor concrete coffee tables.
