Our Lighting Advisor's Verdict

★ Lighting Advisor's Verdict◆ Design Icon🇮🇹 Made in ItalyDesigned by Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina🎬 Seen in Skyfall (2012)✓ cULus / ULus listedDimmable5-year Artemide warranty

The Tolomeo is the most practical design icon we sell: the arm goes exactly where you need it and stays there, and the family covers nearly every situation, from a bedside reading light to a big floor lamp.

Choose it for reading chairs, sofas and living rooms; studios that need light without a ceiling fixture.

Not ideal for bathrooms, showers, covered porches or outdoor spaces: it is rated IP20 for dry indoor locations.

Our pick: Aluminum with LED 31W, for integrated LED, so there are no bulbs to buy. That version ships from Artemide in 2–4 weeks.
