The Artemide Febe Pendant Light is a pendant light designed by Ernesto Gismondi and Daniele Moioli in 2016. In Artemide's words: “In Febe, everything is reduced to a minimum and built around the optical engine that, with maximum yield in minimum thickness, ensures excellent performance to illuminate an entire room. About the designers

Ernesto Gismondi (1931–2020), an aeronautical engineer by training, founded Artemide in 1960 with Sergio Mazza and led it for six decades, turning it into one of the world's leading lighting companies. He also designed many Artemide lamps himself, and in 2018 he received a Compasso d'Oro career award.

Daniele Moioli. Moioli has been working with Artemide for over 20 years, and is the current Design Division Director. He has designed products with Michele de Lucchi, including the Logico Garden.

Who this is not for

• Bathrooms, showers, covered porches or outdoor spaces: it is rated IP20 for dry indoor locations.
• Renters or anyone without an electrician: it is hardwired to a junction box.

Care

Our advice: switch off and let it cool, then dust with a soft dry microfiber cloth. Avoid solvents and abrasive cleaners on painted and anodized aluminum. Artemide does not publish separate care instructions.
