The Artemide Calipso Wall & Ceiling Light is a wall & ceiling light designed by Neil Poulton in 2017. In Artemide's words: “Calipso’s unique honeycomb surface was generated by feeding a photo of the moon into an image-based algorithm. The resulting fractal shape has an impure geometry that displays the irregular beauty of nature. The diffuser is built from an organic honeycomb-like shape with tubes of varying diameters, seemingly arranged in a random geometry.” Choose the light source on this page.

Neil Poulton (born 1963 in Scotland) is an industrial designer based in Paris who focuses on simple, technology-driven objects for everyday use.

Best for
