The designer: Theresa Rand

Theresa Rand trained in her native Germany and in Copenhagen, where she now lives and works. Her designs combine the calm of Nordic design with a German insistence on function and quality. She prefers classic shapes, natural materials and quiet, elegant colors, and likes simple, useful objects that still carry a small story.

STELLA is flatware with clear, slim lines and gently rounded edges, made from stainless steel in a brushed finish or with a PVD coating in matte black or champagne gold. blomus is a family company run by the fourth generation of the Blome family in Sundern, Germany. It began in 1921 making bicycle parts, moved into copper, brass, pewter and stainless-steel design pieces in 1961, and has worked under the blomus name since 2000.

Buy once: durability and care

Never use steel wool, abrasive sponges or hard brushes, which can scratch the finish. When washing by hand, wipe in the direction of the brushing. The brushed set is dishwasher safe; blomus recommends washing knives by hand. Wash the matte black and champagne gold PVD sets by hand.
