Seat upholstery. Each option pairs a wire seat frame (black powder coat, chrome or brass) with a removable seat and back pad. Every pad fits every frame; pad swatches are shown once. PPM-FR is a flame-retardant polyurethane performance faux leather. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Seat frame and base finishes

The Zebra Spider puts the wire Zebra shell on a swivelling cast aluminum star base, which turns it into a sculptural desk or conference chair. With glides it stays put at a dining or meeting table; add office casters and it rolls across hard floors for a home office or studio, raising the seat by about 1.5 in. The base comes in polished aluminum, black or brass-finished aluminum, and the shell in black, chrome or brass. A removable seat and back pad makes it comfortable for long sessions.

Frequently asked questions

Is the height adjustable?

No. The seat height is fixed; casters add a little height.

How much weight does it hold?

It is rated for 350 lb.

Why do the prices differ?

A black powder-coated seat frame costs less than a plated chrome, brass or gold frame. The pad color does not change the price. The brass aluminum base and office casters each add a surcharge.

Is there a tear sheet?

Yes, the Zebra Spider tear sheet is in the Downloads section.
