Seat frame and leg finishes

The Zebra Pyramid stool brings the wire Zebra armchair up to counter or bar height on a solid wood pyramid base with a metal footrest ring and a swivel under the seat. Arms and a swivel at this height make it one of the most comfortable stools for long evenings at a kitchen island or hotel bar. Choose walnut-finish beech or natural ash with a chrome footrest, or solid American walnut with either a white mechanism and chrome footrest or a black mechanism and gold footrest. Shells come in black, chrome or brass, with a removable seat and back pad.

Planning notes

• Choose Counter for 35 to 37 in counters; choose Bar for 40 to 42 in bar tops.
• At 24 in wide with arms, allow about 28 in of counter edge per stool.
• Check that the arms (31 in counter, 35.5 in bar) slide under your countertop if you want to tuck stools in.
• The metal footrest ring wears better than wood under shoes.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Dust the wood with a dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners. Wood, leather and fabric vary naturally in grain and shade from piece to piece.

Frequently asked questions

Counter or bar height?

The counter stool has a 24 in seat for 35 to 37 in counters; the bar stool has a 28.5 in seat for 40 to 42 in bars.

Does it swivel?

Yes, the wood base has a swivel mechanism under the seat.

Will the arms fit under my counter?

The arms are 31 in high on the counter stool and 35.5 in on the bar stool. Measure to the underside of your top before ordering.

What kind of footrest is there?

A metal ring around the legs: chrome on most bases, gold on the American walnut base with black mechanism.

Why do the prices differ?

A black powder-coated seat frame costs less than a plated chrome, brass or gold frame. The pad color does not change the price. American walnut bases add a surcharge.
