Seat frame and base finishes

The Zebra Pyramid-MW stool has the same splayed pyramid stance as the wood version, but its legs are steel, either wrapped in walnut or natural wood veneer or finished in black. Steel legs stay slimmer than solid wood and stand up to the knocks of a busy restaurant bar, while the veneer keeps a warm look. A swivel sits under the seat and a footrest ring circles the legs: chrome with the veneer legs, brass with the black legs. Shells come in black, chrome or brass with a removable seat and back pad.

Planning notes

• Choose Counter for 35 to 37 in counters; choose Bar for 40 to 42 in bar tops.
• Allow about 28 in of counter edge per stool with arms.
• Veneer over steel gives a wood look with thinner, stronger legs than solid wood.
• Check that the arms clear the underside of your counter.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
