Seat frame and base finishes

The Zebra Galata stool stands the wire Zebra shell on four steel tube legs that taper slightly outward, joined by a footrest, a sturdier, more conventional stool base than all-wire. Tube legs give a confident stance at a restaurant bar and are easy to clean around. The bar version has a full 28.5 in seat for standard bar tops; the counter version sits at 22 in. Legs come in chrome, black or brass, shells in black, chrome, brass or polished gold, with a removable seat and back pad.

Planning notes

• The bar seat (28.5 in) suits 40 to 42 in bar tops; the counter seat (22 in) runs low and suits 33 to 35 in counters.
• Allow about 28 in of counter edge per stool with arms.
• Brass legs with a black shell make a strong two-tone look.
• Check that the arms clear the underside of your top.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.
