Seat upholstery. Each option pairs a wire seat frame (black powder coat or brass) with a removable seat and back pad. Every pad fits every frame; pad swatches are shown once. PPM-FR is a flame-retardant polyurethane performance faux leather. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

Seat frame and base finishes

The Zebra Armchair is the original Zebra: the shell, arms and legs are one continuous piece of welded steel wire, so the striped pattern runs from the backrest right down to the floor. It is a statement chair for a dining room, hotel lounge or restaurant window table, and it reads almost transparent, which keeps a full table from looking heavy. Choose black powder coat, which can be made weather-ready with a cataphoresis coating, or plated brass for a warmer, dressier room. A removable seat and back pad in faux leather or PPM-FR makes the wire comfortable for a full meal.

• Tight tables where armless chairs fit better
• Stacking

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

Frequently asked questions

Is the chair one piece?

Yes. The seat, arms and legs are a single welded steel wire frame, so the legs always match the frame finish.

Which finishes are offered?

Black powder coat or brass plating.

Can it go outdoors?

The black frame can be ordered with a cataphoresis anti-corrosion coating for outdoor use, and outdoor fabric pads are available. Plated brass is for indoor use. Contact us to order the outdoor version.

How much weight does it hold?

It is rated for 350 lb.

Why do the prices differ?

A black powder-coated seat frame costs less than a plated chrome, brass or gold frame. The pad color does not change the price. Both finishes come with the same pad choices.

Is the pad removable?

Yes. The seat and back pad lifts off for cleaning or replacement.
