Frame finishes

Zara is a low, architectural lounge chair: a solid brushed stainless steel frame forms a sled on the floor and rises into slim arms, holding a slung seat, a padded back cushion and upholstered arm pads. The 14 in seat is lower and the chair deeper than a typical armchair, so you sit back into it, the way you would in a club or hotel lounge. Black and dark brown leather Zaras appear in our lounge photos, and the chair looks equally at home in a Modern living room or a law-office reception. A 21 in throw pillow is part of the design.

Planning notes
- The 14 in seat is low; pair it with a coffee table about 14 to 16 in high.
- At 32 in deep, allow generous floor space in front.
- Brushed stainless resists fingerprints better than polished; it suits stone and concrete floors.
- For a smaller footprint, see Zara Small; for a brass or rose gold frame, see Zara Gold.
- Shipping: in-stock lounge chairs ship in 3 to 5 business days. If your upholstery and base combination is out of stock or on its way to our warehouse, please allow 10 to 15 weeks for it to ship.
Who it is not for
- Anyone who finds low seats hard to rise from: see Rebecca Plywood with the tall base
- Outdoor use
- Very small rooms: see Zara Small
Care
Wipe PPM and leather with a soft, damp cloth and dry; condition genuine leather once or twice a year and keep it out of strong sun. Vacuum boucle and wool with an upholstery brush and blot spills. Wipe the stainless or brass frame with a soft, dry cloth; avoid abrasive pads and chlorine cleaners.
Designer credit
The Zara armchair is designed by the sohoConcept in-house team, a contract and residential furniture maker.
