Leg finishes

The Tribeca Star is the Tribeca armchair on four slim steel tube legs that splay out from a star-shaped plate under the seat, the lightest and most affordable four-leg base in the family. It has the most finish choices too: black, gold, stainless steel, natural or walnut veneer, plus versions with a ring stretcher for a footrest and versions with adjustable leveling caps for uneven floors. That makes it easy to match a mixed room in Modern, Mid-Century or Scandinavian style. Beneath the cover is the same sprung build as every Tribeca: a steel frame, S-shaped springs and molded polyurethane foam.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

What are adjustable caps?

They are threaded leveling feet on the leg ends. Turn them to stop a chair rocking on an uneven floor.

Which versions have a ring?

Black legs with a gold ring, and walnut veneer legs with a stainless steel ring. The ring braces the legs and works as a footrest.

Does it swivel?

No. The Star is a fixed four-leg chair.

Why do the prices differ?

Faux leather seats cost the least, PPM, PPM-FR, Camira Era and boucle are the middle tier, and Camira Blazer wool is the top tier. The ring versions and the adjustable caps each add a surcharge over the plain legs.

Is it the lightest Tribeca dining chair?

It is one of the lightest-looking, with slim tube legs and no stretcher on the plain versions.
