Seat frame and base finishes

The Tiger Wire Stool is the all-wire version of the full-size Tiger at counter and bar height: the welded seat sits on a solid steel wire base whose runners form the legs and the footrest in one continuous line. Seat and base together are almost see-through, so a row of four or five stools along an island never blocks the view across the kitchen. Base colors include chrome, black, white and bone, plus gold. The base is fixed, steady and simple to wipe down, and the PPM-FR pad lifts off.

Care

Wipe faux leather and PPM with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Vacuum fabric seats regularly and blot spills right away. Wipe the metal base with a soft, dry cloth; skip abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, which dull plated and powder-coated finishes. Leather and fabric vary slightly in shade from batch to batch.

Counter or bar height?

Counter stools have a 25 in seat for 35 to 37 in counters; bar stools have a 29.5 in seat for 40 to 42 in bar tops.

Does it have a footrest?

Yes. The wire base includes a footrest rail as part of the same welded frame.

Does it swivel?

No. The base is fixed.

What is the difference from the Tiger Mini Wire stool?

This stool has the full-size Tiger seat, 21 in wide. The Mini has a smaller 18 in seat for tighter counters.

Why do the prices differ?

A black powder-coated seat frame costs less than chrome, brass or gold, and the gold base costs more than the other base colors.
